What is Travertine
Travertine is a type of limestone formed inside hot mineral springs. During this formation process, gasses escaping mud and calcite leave behind holes in the limestone. These holes can range in size from invisible to the naked eye up to holes large enough to put a fist through. The holes in travertine are in no way a defect in the stone, and in fact give it some of its beauty. To help the stone hold its integrity, these holes should be filled either at the factory or during installation.

Travertine natural stone must be cleaned with a neutral cleaner that is not highly acidic or alkaline based. We use products that have been approved for natural stone and will not create any damage to the travertine surface. Our processes ensure a top quality of care and finish for Travertine.

Recent Project - April 2024
This Travertine stone was worn, etched, scratched, marked with paint spots, rust and full of grime. Through the use of our machines to first clean the stone, with the help of our specially selected stone cleaning products, and then stone honing to achieve the desired finish, we were able to bring the Travertine stone tiles back to like new. Finally, we protected the tile’s surface with the application of a premium stone penetrating sealer.
